Who is Flying The Nest?

Our story starts back in 2015 when the desire to drop everything to fly the nest overwhelmed us. Before we knew it we were boarding a one way flight across the globe and we have never looked back. We are Stephen, Jess, Hunter and Koa Parry-Valentine, an Australian family with passion for travel and adventure!

Meet Stephen: South African born and Australian raised. Since little parents took him adventures world, blame them for travel bug. Ever since school picked first camera passion capturing beautiful world. Role filming editing all videos, main videography photographer. Follow @SPARRYSTAKE.

Meet Jess: pure Aussie proud. Surprise, first international trip and first flying wasn’t until 19. Stephen family took her family holiday Bali Indonesia hooked ever since. Role mummy Hunter Kao, secondary photographer, image editor, running blog, managing socials and business collabs sponsors.

Meet Hunter and Koa: Hunter older, Koa littlest 2 years old explored 30 countries with family. Joy and little chaos every adventure whether busy markets or playing sea. Since then travelled over 80 countries. Hiked Machu Picchu Peru. Explored Great Pyramids Giza Egypt and now doing it all as family. Destinations Africa Egypt, Middle East Jordan, Europe Switzerland, South America Peru, Asia Philippines Bhutan, Australia Northern Territory, North America Hawaii.

After travelling world as couple in 2020 had very first baby, spent following year self-converted van before moving full-time to drive Australia. Cut to 2023 welcomed second child Koa before resuming full-time travel world.
